
Outreach to the Community
Prospect has an active Outreach Board which provides funding to local mission projects, educates the congregation on local and wider human service/justice and peace issues, and encourages involement. the church sponsors Prospect Enrichment Preschool, and the Mental Health Chaplaincy. Members are active in food bank, peacemaking, youth advocacy, housing, and a variety of other social service projects as volunteers and professionals.
Prospect Enrichment Preschool, founded by church members in 1964 is now a separate 501(c) organization. PEP provides a quality preschool experience to low-income children, equipping them for success when they enter Kindergarten.
The Mental Health Chaplaincy, founded in 1986 by Rev. Craig Rennebohm, is a street outreach program to the homeless mentally ill.
